Robert McKeown "Sunrise" Wood Stamp Trinket Box signed 1979

Description

Each of McKeown's pieces was individually hand-crafted and took weeks to complete, as he used multiple woods and an inlaid-design process that required multiple applications. Here we have a roughly 2" x 2" stamp box marked as made in 1979 with an expertly fitted box and lid, precise thin edge-cut for the stamp roll to dispense, and the lid with multi-hued sun over water design. Each color required its own hand-applied application and drying time before the next. Marked with his signature brand mark as well as hand-engraved signature.
